2017-2018 UPDATES!!!

**UPDATE - schedule pick up and registration has closed until August 7, 7:30-10:30.

Please complete the EZ Online Registration process as soon as possible - students who have not completed online registration will not be able to pick up a schedule until online registration has been completed. On the MCPSS main page (, look for "I want to" at the bottom of the page and follow the links to register a returning student (which includes any student who has attended MCPSS in the past) or a new student (which includes students from private school, out of district, out of state, etc). Please note: This schedule pick up process is much quicker if you are able to complete EZ registration online before arriving at the school. Please call the school at 221-3351 for username and password.

The school is open Mon-Thurs 9:00-11:30 am AND 1:00-5:00 pm each day July 20. If you are a new student (including incoming freshmen) or if you are a returning student who has had a change of address, you will need to bring in two proofs of residence during our summer hours.  Incoming freshmen should also bring a copy of his/her report card or summer school completion forms to show that the student has been promoted to the 9th grade.

NEW STUDENTS: Please call our registrar, Mrs. Vickers, for more information about required documents for registration.  (251) 221-3351 ext 71509

AFTER ONLINE REGISTRATION IS COMPLETED AND DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN SCANNED (if applicable), fee payment/schedule pick up will be held on the following dates:

SENIORS - Monday, JULY 24 7:30-10:30 am

JUNIORS - Monday, JULY 24 12:30-3:30 pm

SOPHOMORES - Tuesday, JULY 25 7:30-10:30 am

FRESHMEN - Tuesday, JULY 25 12:30-3:30 pm (Freshmen who have already met with a counselor to discuss course selection will be able to pick up a schedule. All other freshmen will meet with a counselor to make course selections on this day.)

Make up day for schedule pick up is JULY 26, 7:30-10:30 am, any grade level.  If the schedule is not picked up by this day, students will need to wait until AUG 7 7:30-10:30 OR the first day of school to pick up a schedule.

PARKING PERMIT - $35 (available on July 24 both sessions, July 25 morning session only, and the first day of school).  Students must present a valid driver's license, tag receipt, and insurance card in order to apply for a parking permit.

Some classes may require an additional fee, and students will be informed of any fees during the first few days of class.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS about schedule pick up week (July 24-26)

I haven't registered online yet.  May I do that on the schedule pick up day?

Yes, computers are available for those who have not yet registered online.  However, please understand that registering at the school will extend the time needed to complete the schedule pick up, as the online registration is required before the schedule can be picked up.  If you are able to register online at home or at the public library before coming to the school, this will help minimize the time you will spend at the school on your scheduled day.  Also, the number of computers available is limited, but care will be taken to ensure the process goes as quickly and smoothly as possible.

I will be out of town or unavailable to pick up my schedule during pick up week.  May I pick up the schedule another time?

The make-up day is on July 26.  If this date is missed, students will also be able to pick up their schedules on the first day of school.

I completed online registration, but I have not been to the school like I have done in the past to show any proofs of residency.  May I do that on the schedule pick up day?

If you are a returning student and you have not moved (your address has not changed since last year), then no proofs are needed.  This is one way that Mobile County has made registration easier! If you do have a new address, OR have had a custody change (court decisions or any other custodial changes of which the school would require documentation) you may bring in these documents on the scheduled pick up day to have them scanned, or you may come in anytime during our summer hours, Mon-Thurs 9:00 -11:30 and 1:00-5:00.

My child attended a school in another state last year.  May I come in during the schedule pick up week to enroll?

The stations will be set up to accommodate only the returning students, students from our feeder school, and new students who have already registered with a counselor and the registrar.  If you need to enroll a brand new student (from out of county, private school, out of feeder school pattern, or from another high school in the county) then you will need to contact the registrar to get more information.  The registrar can be reached at 221-3351, ext 71509.

I am picking up schedules for two students in different grade levels. May I pick them up at the same time or do I have to come in on two different days?

Many times, the schedules for the next grade level are not available until the specified day/time.  Our suggestion is to wait until the day of the oldest child has passed and then come in on the day of the younger child in order to pick up both.  For example, if you have a sophomore and a senior, do not attempt to pick up the sophomore's schedule early on the senior's day. Instead, wait until the sophomore's day and pick up the senior's schedule late. This way, only one trip is needed. *On the make up day, any grade level and any last name can come anytime 7:30am-10:30am.
